All of a sudden we don’t require alarm clocks or our mothers to wake us up! For a change, there is no voice from the inside saying, ‘Get up you lazy bum! And go for work.’ There is a global demand to stay home. Our monotonous life of going to gym, work, social functions etc has pulled us away from the lesser important things to the bigger picture. It’s so hard for some people to just be indoors and do nothing at all. Being home, especially when it comes to extroverts, can be frustrating and exhausting. Many people may complain and whine about feeling bored and aimless. Some might also go to the extent of calling it as the breach of their individual right, by being made to stay home. However, when you look at the bigger picture of saving lives, which is for greater good, one should always be ready to sacrifice a little bit of that liberty and freedom. Being able to strike a balance between individual rights and public safety will always remain an ever changing thing. It’s a feel good factor when you realize that you are trading a little bit of your freedom for the greater good of the society. Social distancing may seem very difficult, but it can also teach you a lot about your inner-self. You get to learn how to keep yourself engaged. Ultimately binge watching back to back seasons of a your favourite show on Netflix/Amazon Prime won’t be enough anymore, and instead you will have to try doing something else. Your mind and your body is your own home and you will have to learn on how to love it and live with it. We are rightly advised to put aside our routine life for something that most of us would have never imagined. It’s not everyday that you get an opportunity to save your fellow human beings by staying in your tracks & tees.

It’s about spending more time with your spouse, parents, family, children and the list goes on. It’s also about doing something you haven’t done since eons. You can work on yourself. You may do leisure reading, blogging, painting or even dusting off your old foregone artistic talent. Befriend art while social distancing! This is the time you may start any activity that will help you to become a better version of you, as long as you are aware yourself to stay at home and prevent the Corona virus from spreading. Follow the quarantine since during these ordeal times, it’s the best return gift you can give back to the society.

And lastly general hygiene is extremely essential. Not just when there is a virus outbreak like this. One should be aware of the drill by now.

Stay calm and become a better person!
